Hello! I hope you are doing well wherever you are. My name is Deymi Margarita Ich Xi, and I am 11 years old. I am in 5th grade this year, and I am attending school twice a week; I deliver my homework every week. The study method has affected me because there are times that it is difficult for me to do my homework. We have internet at home, and it is useful for me. I miss the feeding program’s Bible classes, so I hope it can open its doors again soon. I walk for about 5 minutes to arrive to the program. My father works as a security guard, and he covers our needs. My mother dedicates her time to the family and home. We usually go to the park or field and enjoy time together as a family. We only celebrate Christmas in our family due to the pandemic, and we prepare “tamales and ponche”.
We attend the Catholic Church, and it is located 30 minutes from our house. We felt sad when our church was closed due to the virus. We live in a rented house, and we share it with my sister. The house has one room and one kitchen, and it is made of concrete block with a tin sheet roof and ceramic floor. We have running water and electricity. My father was affected by the current situation because his salary was reduced. I would like to ask you to pray for us since we are in need of groceries and school supplies; also, my parents have to pay many bills. I am grateful to God because my family and I are healthy. I am able to write you this letter thanks to my mother’s and an Evangelism teacher’s support.
Sincerely yours
Deymi Margarita Ich Xi
