My Story

My full name is Jackeline Karina De La Cruz Ajqui and I am excited to share with you a little bit about my life. I am 14 years old and I am in eighth grade. I have attended the feeding program for many years, and what I like the most is praying during the Bible lessons before having my meals. I want to use this opportunity to express my gratitude to LW-Adopt A Child for blessing me with food and medicine. My mother was part of the feeding program too. What she appreciated the most were receiving vitamins and fruits after lunch. Today, she is a busy housewife and midwife. I usually help her with the chores after doing homework. I prefer cold rather than hot weather because I like going for walks. By the grace of the Lord, my family and I are in good health. I live with my parents and young sister, Alisson.

The main supporter of our family is my father, who makes a living as a day laborer and farmer. We attend a Christian Church and feel motivated to grow spiritually there because services are helpful. We have learned how to pray and worship God’s name. Serving in the Sunday Bible school calls my attention. I hope that can be possible in the future. My mother accepted Jesus as her Savior many years ago, so she has assurance about going to Heaven. Nevertheless, she recognizes that she must strengthen her faith in Jesus and look for him more to deserve that grace. Brother Hercules (a member of the LW staff) recently encouraged her to keep going, which was a blessing for her. It is time to say goodbye, but I kindly ask you to pray for my parents so they continue working and for my mother’s patients. Until next time!
