This is Blanca Estela Chingo Luis, and I am writing this to update my 2023 information. First, I will tell you about my family. Currently, we are members of Prince of Peace Church, and we attend the service on Thursday. We are assured of our salvation. We raise hens for selling, but we do not have a piece of land to sow crops. We are a humble family, and our greatest needs are groceries, corn and clothes. My father’s name is Tomas, but he is not part of my life. My mother’s name is Santos. She is 30 years old, and she is in good health. She raises domestic animals and does the laundry of others to support us.
Now let me tell you a little about myself. I am 14 years old, and I am healthy. I am in 5th grade, and I am happy to receive face-to-face classes because it is easier to learn. It has been difficult for my mother to cover my school expenses because she is the only one who supports the family. I want to become a teacher when I am older. My favorite celebration is Christmas because the family gets together and prepares the traditional “tamales”. We do not have the custom to celebrate our birthdays due to our low resources. I prefer soccer as a sport, and I love drinking “atol de masa” (hot drink made from corn). I would like to learn English language in the future. Living Water is very important in my life, and I am grateful for the delicious food I receive at the feeding program. I hope to hear from you soon.
All the best
