My Story

Chixocol, where your child lives, is a very small village nestled in a mountain valley in the state of Quiche, Guatemala. Life in this state is very difficult and somewhat isolated from the outside world. Most families live in one-room adobe houses with dirt floors and a small attached kitchen. The extremely poor live in houses made of corn stalks. In the past few years electricity and water have become available to most people in the area - however, indoor plumbing is very rare. Most of the families are farmers or shepherds and live off the fruits of their labors. Public education is available for those who can afford it and consider it of value.  Life in Quiche is always a challenge.

Hello! My name is Jeferson Elias Luis Chingo. My birthdate is November 7, 2019, which makes me 4 years of age now. I am not attending school yet. My hobby is playing with toy cars. My favorite animal is the dog, the color I love is red. About meals, let me tell you I love fried chicken. I live with my biological parents, two brothers and two sisters; thankfully, we are in good health. Please, pray for my mother because some days ago she suffered a miscarriage. My father´s name is Sabino Luis Aguilar. He works as a farmer. My mother´s name is Lucia Chingo Gutierrez. She is a maid. We attend a gospel church. We have some hens. The house in which we live is owned by my father. This house has three rooms, but we use two of them and a separate kitchen. It is made of adobe walls, tin sheet roof and concrete floor. Thank God we have running water and electricity. Mi father pays for electricity and the water. The house is located five minutes away from the feeding program and I get there on foot. We are a family in need of many things, and some of these are corn and groceries. Every blessing for you!
