My Story

Hello! My full name is Maynor Yobani Tiquiram Toj and I am so happy for having the opportunity to share my updated information with you. I am a healthy 6-year-old boy and I still do not attend school. I hope to do it for the next year. I stay home and I usually go with my mother to the field and look for firewood for our consumption. I prefer the hot weather rather than cold because it is perfect to go to the river and have fun with my family. I live with my parents and two siblings. Fortunately, they are doing well. My father is the main supporter at home. He makes a living as a day laborer and farmer in our village, while my mother is dedicated to taking care of my siblings and me. She also dedicates a little of her time to weaving typical clothes to sell and contribute to the expenses.

My family and I are a Christian family and attend the Prince of Peace Church. We like attending our services because we listen to the gospel by means of the pastor. I am pleased to tell you that my mother has assurance of her salvation because she accepted Jesus in her heart. She appreciated the encouraging words that sister Yojana (a member of the LW staff) recently gave her. I want you to know that my mother enrolled me at the feeding program about two years ago since she wanted me to receive medicine and delicious food for free as she used to do when she was a teenager. She remembers that she used to be part of the youth group and enjoyed all the activities they organized.
