My Story

Hello! My full name is Melvin Joshan Cac Luis, and I am so happy to know you are reading my letter. By the grace of the Lord, I am a healthy 14-year-old boy. Last year, I was in sixth grade. Today, I stay home and help my mom with the housework. I sometimes work in the field as a farmer. I enjoy playing soccer with my cousins and friends on weekends. I live with my parents, one older siter, grandparents, and other relatives in the same house. My parents help to cover the expenses. Fortunately, nobody is sick. My mom works as a seamstress and embroiders blouses. She also sells hens and pigs if we need an extra income. My father makes a living as a mason. He also grows corn and beans to feed our family.

We faithfully attend our services at Ebenezer Christian Church. I am glad because my parents have persevered so much at church. As proof, my mom belongs to the deaconess group. She is sure about her salvation. She appreciates the encouraging words that a teacher of the LW evangelism team gave her recently. We are grateful to LW-Adopt A Child for the spiritual support, food, annual Christmas gift, and medicines that we can get for free. I feel so happy when the staff prepares fried chicken for lunch at the feeding program. I will leave you now, but I would love to count on your prayers for health and provision for my family and me. May the Lord reward your charity and kindness!
