My Story

Hello, it is a pleasure to greet you through this short update. My name is Alex Elio Garcia Hernandez. I am so happy that I get to share my information with you today and tell you a little but about myself. I am 12 years old, and I am in sixth grade now. I have a best friend named Alberto. We have been friends since we were little, and we love playing soccer together. Thankfully, I am in good health along with my family. My dad’s name is Pedro Garcia Gutierrez. He works as a day laborer. He is the one who primarily provides for our family. My mom’s name is Florencia Hernandez Ajquí. She is a housewife, and she raises sheep at home that she sells to make some extra money for us. My parents are so important to me, because they work so hard for me.

I trust them with everything, and I am so grateful for them. We don’t go to church, but we know God, and we are so grateful for His presence in our lives. I will say that I have been dealing with some nose bleeds recently. I went to the medical clinic at the program in the spring of this year. They gave me some medicine to try to help, but it hasn’t helped a lot. The evangelism teachers encouraged us to go to the doctor in the clinic at the program to see if they can give me a more thorough examination and find out what is wrong. I hope we will figure it out soon. Otherwise, I am healthy, and I am grateful to be able to share this information with you. I hope you will pray for me and my family.
