My Story

My sincerest thanks for allowing me to be part of the feeding program. I have attended for many years, and it has been a blessed experience. Please receive warm regards from Sonia Aracely Calchij Cortez. I am 9 years old now. Thankfully, I am a healthy child. I am a third-grade student. I have attended the feeding program for seven years. I would like to thank LW for serving us lunch at school. At home, I like to help sweeping and washing the dishes. I love the cold weather. I enjoy attending church with my family, and we are part of a Prince of Peace church.

I thank God for my father´s life and for my family. Fortunately, they are all doing well. My father earns a living farming the land and does other odd jobs for others. As you know, my mother passed away many years ago, and in spite of the time, I still miss her. My stepmother is a good person, and she stays at home taking care of us. Sometimes, she works both as a farmer and as a day laborer. We stay under my paternal grandparents’ care while my parents are at work. My older brother helped me to give my information. An evangelism teacher shared the gospel with us and encouraged us to seek God's ways. I am praying for each one of you. I say goodbye to you for now. I hope this letter finds you well.
