Hello! My name is Gani Korra. I am 9 years old and my birthday is on December 29th. I am doing well and enjoy good health. My favorite color is red and my future dream is to become a teacher. My favorite game to play is Free Fire. To play this game, I go to the internet coffee with my brother, but we go very rare. I attend the third grade at school and enjoy learning. My favorite subject at school is Math. After school, I get together to play with my friends and when I return home, I also like to help my father and mother with all that they ask me to do like shopping groceries or doing other things to help my mother while she is dealing with the housekeeping. After I help my mother at home, During the afternoons, same as all the people who live in the town, like to take walks around and we go to the park to stay there for a while. During the weekends, when the weather is nice, we go to the park as family and I enjoy my time with them.
My family and I live in Elbasan. I have in my family my father, mother and a brother. He is twelve years old and he is frequenting the sixth grade at school. My brother is also registered in the sponsorship programme and we both go to church together with our mother. My parents are both jobless. My father tries to work where he can get a possibility to get hired and he does various jobs here and there. He doesn’t get paid too much and we are to live with very low income as family where our needs are so many to be fulfilled. My mother is doing the housekeeping but she doesn’t have a job and she can’t bring any income. The local government is giving to my family a small amount each month as social assistance, but this amount is too small and my parents can’t even pay the electricity or water bill using it. We are poor as family and I am thankful to the Adopt a Child for the benefits I am receiving, attending the church of Elbasan.
The Living Water Adopt a Child church in Elbasan meets for their weekly service on Sundays and they have Bible classes for children, teens, men and ladies during the other days of the week. The children after the Bible classes get together to spend a while playing in the centre that the church has rented, and at times, they play in the park of the town, which is very close to where the church is. The men and ladies join in small groups to study the Bible together, using provided materials to help them build their relationship with God, receiving Bible knowledge and praying for each other. Every six weeks, each child who frequents the programme received a package containing food and provided from Adopt a Child. The children come to the centre together with their parents to receive this package. The sponsored children are also receiving once a year a free dental care offered from the sponsorship programme. Thank you for helping and supporting the children in Albania. God bless you richly for the spiritual and physical care that you are providing for them.
