My Story

Hello! It is my pleasure to greet you and wish you many successes in your daily life.  I want to share with you some news about my family and me. This is Yeison Elias Manuel Grave Morales.  I am 6 years old. At the moment, we are not attending any church. We are grateful to the LW evangelism team who shared the Gospel with my mother and for their encouraging words. Thankfully, this year I am in kindergarten at school. I am receiving face-to-face classes every day and my teacher gives me the best explanation about the homework. My father strives to support my sister and me at school even though he does not have a stable job. Nowadays, school fees are expensive and sometimes it is difficult to cover all expenses. My native language is the Quiche Mayan dialect, so I would like to learn Spanish and improve my communication with people. When I am older, I want to become a bus driver. My favorite celebration of the year is Christmas because I like to eat “tamales” (a typical dish). What I like to drink is “Incaparina” (a hot drink made with soy and corn flour). Among sports, I prefer soccer. What I like for my birthday is to receive some gifts from my family. Thank God, all my family and I are in good health.

My mother`s name is Vilma Morales de Leon. She is 26 years old. At the moment, she continues doing chores at home, takes care of us and raises hens and sheep. My father`s name is Victor Grave Gutierrez. He is 27 years old.  Currently, he continues earning a living by traveling to the coast with our whole family to pick coffee beans and working as a day laborer and farmer for three months. We grow corn and beans for the family`s consumption. As a humble family, our current needs are groceries. Thank you to Living Water because I receive the meals, medical and dental attention, and spiritual support. I want to say thank you for the Christmas gift that I receive at year´s end.
