My Story

Hello! My name is Marleny Evelinda Gonzalez De La Cruz, and I am updating information about my family and me. At the moment, we are members of a Pentecostal Church called Prince of Peace, and we attend it on Wednesday. When LW evangelism teacher collected this personal data, she motivated my grandmother to continue seeking her Salvation and God’s Way. My father’s name is Mario, and I do not know his age because he abandoned the family years ago. My mother’s name is Maria, she is 26 years old, and she is in good health. She works in a tortillas business in Guatemala City, and she comes to visit us every three or four months. My grandmother, Marta, is in charge of us and she covers our needs with the money that my mother sends. She raises hens and sheep for selling, and she helps us financially when my mother cannot cover our needs. We are a humble family, and currently, we are in need of groceries, corn and clothes. We have hens at home, and we sell some to improve the income.

Now, I am going to tell you a little about myself. I am 10 years old, I am in good health, and I am in third grade. I prefer face-to-face classes because we learn more. It has been difficult for my mother to cover my school expenses since she is a single mother and has to cover all our needs. I would like to learn to speak English and have my own grocery store when I am older. My favorite year’s celebration is Holy Week because it is a time when I can eat a lot of bread. I love drinking lemonade. I like talking and inviting my friends when it is my birthday. I prefer basketball as a sport. For me, Living Water and you are very important because we receive support in different ways. Well, I will finish my letter wishing you the best and hoping to hear from you.

All the best
