My Story

I fondly greet you through this letter hoping you are doing great with your loved ones. My name is Sandy Guadalupe Quexel Monroy, and I am eight years old. I have two siblings. My mother and father live with me. My mother is a hardworking housewife, and my father works in a plant nursery and helps support the family economically. To spend time together as a family, we eat lunch together on Sundays. For Christmas last year, we celebrated it together at home. I live in a humble home in Duenas. My house is located about a 15-minute walk from the feeding program. The house we live in belongs to my parents. There are four rooms and a separate kitchen. The house is made of block, the roof is made of tin sheet, and the floor is made of ceramic. We have running water and electricity in our home. The house is in good condition. Thank God my whole family is healthy. However, my sister and I were born with spina bifida. The pandemic has not affected our economy because my father always had work. I am in second grade this year. I have face-to-face classes three times a week (Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays). Thankfully I have not struggled much with learning throughout the pandemic. I have internet access using data from a cellphone. I attend Liberty Church in Duenas. When the church closed due to the pandemic, we were sad because we could no longer attend services. But the church has reopened now, and we are attending again. What I miss most from the feeding center is the delicious food they served there and the Bible classes. Glory to God, our greatest needs are being met. I send you a strong hug from the bottom of my heart. May God bless you always!

The evangelism team is speaking to families in Duenas by appointment. They spoke to my mother to receive this information.

Kind regards and blessings,

Sandy Guadalupe Quexel Monroy
