My Story

Hello! I am Uesli Zeqollari. I am happy to share with you about myself and my family going through the questions that the Adopt a Child team asks of me to answer. I am 11 years old and my birthday is on January. I am doing well and in good health. My favorite color is red. I like this color because is symbol of love. My future dream is to become police. I frequent primary school and enjoy learning. My favorite subject is Albanian Language. The school is in the village and not far from my home and I walk to get there every morning with my friends. After school, I meet to play outside with my friends who live near my house. We enjoy playing our games outside, especially during this season in which the weather is warm and sunny. I have a younger brother and we play together with ball and do lots of running. We have an open space in front of our hose and we play there. When I go inside the house, I like to spend time to care for my brother. We study together and I help him to complete successfully his homework for the next day of his school. I live in a village near Prrenjas. Our house offers appropriated conditions to us. I have five members in my family and they are my father, mother, younger brother as well as my grandmother. Our grandmother lives with us and my parents care for her being old and supply every living needs she has for the living. She is retired and receives a small pension. We own land and my parents deal with agriculture. My mother plants vegetables that we consume and around our garden we also have fruit trees. Of course we are not able to make the living only through what we profit from the land therefore my father has emigrated to work in Greece to provide income for us. He is hired there seasonally in agriculture or construction. My father has his own car that he uses to go to Greece and come to our house. He usus his car also to reach to his job. My brother and I go to the Bible classes of the program twice a week and enjoy the activities that the teachers of the program organize for us. We receive food packages constantly and are happy that these packages are a good provision of food for us and our family.
