My Story

Hello! It is a privilege to greet you through this letter. I am Norma, and I hope you are doing well. Let me tell you that my family and I attend the Prince of Peace Church on Mondays. I am sure Jesus is my Savior. A teacher of the LW evangelism team spoke with me to collect my news for you. He also encouraged me to continue growing spiritually. As you know, my father passed away some years ago. His name was Nicolas Velasquez. My mother, Maria De La Cruz, is 45 years old. She often travels to the coast to get income and support our family. As for health, my whole family is healthy. I am stable nowadays. I suffer from seizures, but fortunately, I have not had them so far. We need groceries at home, especially corn. Fortunately, I can attend the feeding program. It is a crucial project in my community because it blesses many children like me with delicious food. My family and I raise sheep and pigs. We also grow corn and beans for our consumption.

I want you to know that I turned twelve years old in April. Unfortunately, my family and I do not celebrate birthdays because of a lack of money. I no longer attend school because I help my mother to work on the coast. I like making my own money there, so I hope to continue doing it. Christmas is my favorite holiday because of all the happiness it brings me. There are delicious hot drinks, but my favorite is mosh (it is a typical hot beverage).
