My Story

Hello! My full name is Petrona Vanesa Garcia Chingo and I am excited to share a little bit about my life with you. I am 9 years old, and what I like the most about the hot weather is going to the river to refresh myself while I swim. I am in third grade at school. To contribute to the chores, I usually sweep. I have attended the feeding program for about four years. Before having my meals, I usually receive Bible lessons and pray together with other children. I am pleased to tell you that my mother had the opportunity to attend this charity organization. What she liked the most was participating in the games organized by the LW staff. She also was part of the youth group and learned how to pray and praise the Lord with her voice.

Today, my whole family and I are members of the Catholic Church, where we enjoy participating in the holy mass to learn more about God and praise his holy name while we sing. I am pleased to tell you that my mother has assurance of her salvation since she accepted Jesus in her heart. She is a very busy housewife and dedicates part of her time to raising chickens to sell. I do not have my father with me now because he works in the United States. He has a work visa that allows him to work there as a janitor for six months. He is in touch with us and sends us money monthly. I praise the Lord’s name because my whole family and I are in good health. Please pray for us so that God keeps us as healthy as we have been so far. This is all for now, but I want you to know that my mother helped me to compose this letter.
