My Story

Hello! I am sending many greetings! It is a pleasure to greet you hoping that you are doing well alongside your lovely family. I am Luis Leonardo Del Cid Mixia and I am 14 years old. At the moment, we are not attending any Church. We are grateful to the LW evangelism team who shared the Gospel with us during the visit and for their encouraging words. This year, I am in 6th grade at school. I am receiving face-to-face classes every day and I am learning a lot with this study method. At the moment, my stepfather and my mother are making an effort to support my sister and me at school in spite of the school fees being so expensive and that they do not have stable jobs. When I am older, I want to become a Finance Lawyer. I speak Spanish where I live, so I would like to learn English; I think this is a very interesting language. My favorite celebration of the year is Christmas because I like to eat “tamales” (a typical dish) and “ponche” (a hot drink made with fruits). Coca-Cola is what I prefer to drink. Among sports, I prefer soccer. What I like to do for my birthday is to pray and give thanks to God for my life. By the grace of God, my family and I are in good health.

My mother`s name is Carmen Lucia del Cid Mixia. She is 29 years old. At the moment, she earns a living by working as a babysitter in order to contribute to home expenses. I want to let you know that my biological father never recognized me legally because I have only my mother`s last name.  I do not know anything about him. My stepfather`s name is Jose Isaias Lorenzo Cortes and he works hard to support us. Nowadays, he continues working as a mason helper.  We are a humble family and our current needs are groceries. We are very grateful to Living Water because we have been blessed with meals, medical and dental, and spiritual support. I want to say thank you for the Christmas gift that I receive every year´s end.  Thank you for reading my letter. May God bless you greatly!

Kisses and hugs,

Luis Leonardo Del Cid Mixia
