Hello, I am your sponsored child Kevin David Morente Calachij, and I am so glad to greet you. I am 11 years old; I am in 4th grade this year, and I attend face-to-face classes every Monday. I do my homework at home and I deliver it personally to my teacher the day I go to school. It has been difficult for me to study in this way because I am not learning like I used to do before the pandemic, and then it is hard for me to do my homework. I am trying to do my best. At home, I help my mother to tend her business. I am happy because God has kept us healthy, and thankfully, none of us has been infected with COVID-19. My father is the one who covers our needs. He still works and lives in the United States; he keeps in touch with us and helps us economically. My mother is a housewife, and now she has her small grocery store to improve our incomes.
The pandemic has affected many people in different ways; we feel glad that in the middle of this, God has always helped us to have the necessities to meet our needs and has prospered my mother’s store. Furthermore, the grocery parcels we have been receiving from my school and the feeding program have been a great help and blessing for us to have a meal on our table. I am so grateful to God and to the feeding program for always supporting us; we pray God blesses in a great way everyone that makes this possible. As a family, we are members of Prince of Peace church, and the services are every Monday and Friday. I want you to know that I Kevin Morente gave this information to one of Living Water’s staff that called me because the feeding program is still closed to protect us from the virus.
