Hello! I am Kevin David Morente Calachij, and I feel so happy to share with you a little about me. I am twelve years old, and this year, I am in the fifth grade. I am attending school three days per week, and these days, I deliver my homework. I consider think that my classmates, and I have not made progress, and we have a lot of doubts when the teachers explain to us. In the afternoons, I help my mom with the chores at home. The feeding program closed for a time, and I missed attending it, the food and watching how the children enjoy eating and laughing. Fortunately, the program is open again, and I walk about twenty minutes to arrive. My father continues living and working in the United States. He works painting houses, and he sends us an economic support. My mother is a housewife and raises domestic animals. She has a small grocery store. When we go out to walk or visit places, we have fun together. We do not celebrate Christmas due to our religion.
My family and I are members of Prince of Peace Church; we walk about five minutes to arrive. My mother has the privilege to be a deaconess, and I sometimes lead some choirs. We never stopped meeting for our services in spite of the pandemic situation. We have our own house which is made of adobe, tin sheet roof and ceramic floor. We have two rooms and a kitchen. We have electricity, but we do not have running water. My mother goes to wash clothes and dishes with my grandmother because she lives near our house. If we need to drink water, we also go out with my grandmother. Thank God, we are in good health. Fortunately, the pandemic situation has not affected us, and we have had the necessities to survive. We are so thankful to Living Water for all the help because it has been a great blessing for us. I want you to know that my mother helped me to give this information. I send you many hugs and kisses. Thank you for reading my letter. Many blessings!
In Jesus name,
Kevin David Morente Calachij
