My Story

Hi! It is a pleasure to greet you in the name of Jesus and I hope you are doing fine. I want to tell you a little about my family and me through this letter. I am Carla Yadira Morente Moxin and I am 11 years old. Unfortunately, this year, I repeated the 3^rd grade at school and I received face-to-face classes every day and I learned a lot with this study method. Nowadays, school fees are expensive, but my father made an effort to support my sisters and me with school expenses.  My dream is to help my mother with chores at home. My native language is the Quiche Mayan dialect, but I would like to learn English which is a very interesting language. Coffee is what I prefer to drink. My favorite celebration of the year is Christmas because I like to light fireworks and to see the colors lights. I do not celebrate my birthday due to a lack of financial resources.  Among sports, I prefer soccer. I want to tell you that my family and I are in good health.

My mother`s name is Maria Reyes Moxin Lopez. She is 36 years old. Nowadays, she continues doing chores at home and taking care of us. Moreover, she raises hens for our family`s consumption. My father`s name is Carlos Morente De La Cruz. He is 48 years old. Currently, he earns a living by working as a mason and he contributes to home expenses. As a needy and humble family, our current needs are corn, groceries, and clothes. I want to let you know that we are attending the Christian Church called “Remanente Escogido” every Thursday and Sunday. We are very grateful to Living Water because we have been blessed with meals, medical and dental, and spiritual support. I want to say thank you for the Christmas gift that I received recently through LW.  May God bless you richly!
