My Story

Wonderful day for you! I am Francisco Morente Coj and my current age is 14 years old. Praise the Lord, my family and I continue attending Prince of Peace Church; we go on Monday and Saturday. My family and I are very grateful to LW staff who took time to share the gospel with us and for preaching about Jesus in the program. Thankfully, my family and I are fine. My father is Jeremias Morente Ruis, and he is 38 years old. He does farm work 4 or 5 days per week; occasionally, he finds work for a whole week. He strives to support us. My mother is Maria Coj Gomez, and her age is 40 years old. She stays busy with the household work. Furthermore, she raises hens and pigs for selling and contribute to the income. In addition, we grow corn, black beans, pumpkin, and “chilacayote” (a pumpkin variety); those are for our consumption.

This year I am repeating my 4th grade. Fortunately, I receive classes at school, and I like to study this way because my learning is better since my teacher solves my doubts. To my parents, it is very difficult to support my siblings and me at school due to the poor economy. Nevertheless, my parents are doing their best for it. I usually get up early in the morning on my birthday, and I feel so happy having my parents and siblings with me; it is very special. When I am older, I would like to learn the bricklayer profession. My favorite drink is oatmeal. Among all sports, my favorite is football. I like Christmas time because my mother prepares “tamales” (a typical dish) and we enjoy them together. We are a big family, and the priority needs are corn, groceries and clothes. On behalf of my family, I want to express our gratitude for the great support that we receive through Living Water; I am so blessed to be part of the program. I hope you like my personal information and hoping to hear from you. Many and rich blessings on you!

Kind regards,

Francisco Morente Coj
