My Story

What a blessing to greet you through this letter! My full name is Celestina Cac Guarcas, and I turned 10 years old in October. I hope you and your whole family are doing well. I am pleased to tell you that everything is running well at school. I am in second grade. My best friend’s name is Rosita. I met her at school last year. We have a lot of fun playing freeze tag and soccer. Let me tell you that my parents taught me that Jesus is the reason for our lives. We attend the Methodist Church, Ebenezer. My siblings and I enjoy taking part in the different activities for children. My whole family and I are healthy. We also enjoy the Thanksgiving services for the harvest.

I want to use this opportunity to ask you to pray for my parents. They do their best to support our family, but they sometimes get discouraged when we get sick. Even when we do not deserve it, God has always helped us to heal and move forward. The one I identify with the most is my mother because she is nurturing and understanding. She keeps busy embroidering typical blouses and raising chickens. My father makes a living as a day laborer and a mason. This is all for now, but I send you many kisses and hugs. I look forward to hearing from you soon.
