My Story

Hello! I greet you cordially and hope you have a beautiful and blessed day.  I want to share a little about my family and me in this opportunity. My mother`s name is Margarita Grave Garcia. She is 40 years old. Currently, she continues working in Guatemala City in a tortillas business. My grandmother takes care of us while my mother is working. My grandmother`s name is Paula Mendez Jimon. She is 53 years old. She is a housewife. Moreover, she raises hens and turkeys to sell and get some income. As a humble family, our current needs are groceries, clothes, and corn. We grow corn for our family`s consumption. At the moment, we continue attending the Prince of Peace Church every Monday. We are grateful to the LW evangelism team for their encouraging words to my grandmother during the visit. So, she is sure of her salvation in Jesus. By the grace of God, the rest of my family and I are in good health.

I am Estela Grave Garcia. I am 15 years old. This year I am in 6^th grade at school. I receive face-to-face classes every day and I am learning a lot with this study method. At the moment, my mother is making an effort to support my sister and me at school despite the school fees being so expensive and that she does not have a stable job. Sometimes, it is very difficult to cover every expense.  In the future, I want to have a job in Guatemala City in order to help my family financially.  My native language is the Quiche Mayan dialect, so I would like to learn Spanish to improve my communication with others. My favorite celebration of the year is Christmas because I like to light fireworks and spend that day with my family. What I like to drink is coffee. I do not celebrate my birthday due to a lack of financial resources. Among sports, I like to play soccer. My family is grateful to Living Water because I receive the meals, medical and dental attention, and spiritual support. I want to say thank you for the Christmas gift that you sent to me at the end of the year. May God bless you and protect you everywhere you are!
