My Story

It is a great joy in my heart to greet you through this hoping our Lord is blessing you! My name is Glendi Magdalena Alvarado Riz. I am 10 years old. This year I am in 4th grade and my classes are on the morning shift. I like to do my homework. My parents support each other to take care of our family. My father is a farmer and goes to pick coffee beans on the coast during the harvest, and other times, he goes to cut sugar cane. Meanwhile, my mother stays busy with the chores at home. We usually grow corn for our food. Fortunately, we are doing well.

I am very grateful to God for blessing me through Living Water; the food and medical care means a great blessing for me and my family. I love eating chicken in a special sauce called “Pulique” (a traditional Mayan food). We are member of the Christian Life Church; my parents have welcomed Jesus into their hearts. We are grateful for the encouraging words given to us by the evangelism teacher to continue attending church. Please remember my family in your prayers so we stay well at home. Let me tell you that my father gave this information to the LW staff to share news about me. Hoping you like my letter and that I hear from you very soon. May our Lord bless you wherever you go!
