My Story

It is a beautiful day to send my greetings, and I hope our Lord is blessing you! Praise the Lord my family and I attend a Christian Church; we go three times per week. My family and I have accepted Jesus in our hearts as our savior. Thankfully, I am healthy and so is my family. My mother is Margarita Grave de la Cruz, and she is 40 years old. She is a housewife but also weaves typical clothes to sell and get income to supply our needs. In addition, she raises hens to help herself economically. My father is not in my life because he abandoned us, and we do not know anything about him.

This is Ashly Yudalis Grave, and I will turn 10 years old in November of this year.  I attend 3^rd grade; I receive classes at school and it is helping so that my learning goes well. Since my mother is a single parent, it is very hard for her to buy what I need for school because she does not have a good income. My dream when I am older is to become a policeman. English is a very interesting language for me and I would like to learn it. The climate I prefer is summer, on sunny days I can play with water to get fresh. I love playing football, and it is my favorite sport. My favorite drink is “arroz con leche” (it is a hot beverage made with rice, milk, cinnamon and sugar. Because of limited resources, we do not celebrate our birthdays, but I would like to have a “piñata” (a kind of puppet filled with candies). Being part Living Water is a great blessing for me because I receive tasty meals, and medical care in the clinics which is so helpful for my family and me. We are in need of groceries.
