I greet you cordially and I hope you are doing fine and enjoying the blessings of our Lord Jesus. In this opportunity, I want to share some news about my family and me through this letter. First of all, my family and I are grateful to Living Water because thanks to your support I receive medical and dental attention in the clinics. In addition, I have a meal and spiritual support at the Feeding Program. I want to tell you that we are attending the Assembly´s God Church. As a family, we are grateful to the LW evangelism team who shared the gospel with us during the visit and for their encouraging words. My mother`s name is Margarita Gutierrez Simaj. She is 39 years old. At the moment, she does chores at home and she raises hens at home. My father´s name is Luis Rodriguez Gutierrez. He is 40 years old. He earns a living by working as a day laborer for 3 or 4 days a week. Moreover, he grows corn and black beans for our family´s consumption. By the grace of God, my family and I are in good health.
My name is Carlos Manuel Rodriguez Gutierrez and I am 12 years old. Unfortunately, this year I am repeating 2nd grade at school. I receive face-to-face classes every day and I am learning a lot with this study method. So, I hope to pass the grade with God´s help. At the moment, my father is making an effort to support my brother and me at school in spite of the school fees being so expensive and that he does not have a stable job. My dream is to become a day laborer. Christmas is my favorite celebration of the year because our custom is to prepare “tamales” (a typical dish) and to light fireworks. I like to drink “atol de masa” (a hot beverage made of corn). My native language is the Quiche Mayan dialect, so I would like to learn Spanish and improve my communication with others. I do not celebrate my birthday due to a lack of financial resources. Among sports, soccer is my favorite. Thank you for the Christmas gift that I receive through LW Adopt-A-Child every December and for reading this letter. May God bless you greatly!
Lots of love,
Carlos Manuel Rodriguez Gutierrez
