My Story

Kind regards from beautiful Guatemala! I am so happy to share a little bit about my life with you through this letter. I am Angeles Esperanza Coj Gomez and I am 6 years old. I am in kindergarten, and after school, I have a lot of fun playing with my older siblings. By the grace of the Lord, I am in good health. I like both cold and hot weather because each one has its own charm. I started to attend the feeding program about two years ago, which has been a great blessing. My parents are grateful for the food and medicine that I can receive at LW-Adopt A Child. We know that all these benefits are possible, thanks to the financial support of many good-hearted people like you. We pray that God blesses all of you richly. I tell you that I have six siblings and all of them are also enrolled at the feeding program. My mother is a busy woman who dedicates herself to taking care of my siblings and me, especially Walter who is a boy with special needs.

Please pray for my mother since she suffers from body pain. She self-medicates to mitigate the issues. She has not received medical care since we do not have enough financial resources to pay for it. The rest of my family is in good health. My father is the main supporter of my family. He makes a living as a day laborer and farmer. To earn an extra income, he works in a coffee farm located on the south coast of our country. He usually takes Abel, Josue, and Wendy to work with him. The work season usually starts in November and ends in February. About our spiritual life, I want you to know that we attend a Christian Church called Source of Life-The Good Shepherd and what motivates us to continue persevering there is the care that our siblings in Christ provide us, especially when they visit us. Wendy is my older sister and she has assurance of being admitted into Heaven because she received Jesus as her Lord and Savior.
