My Story

My name is Fernanda Daniela Pineda Lopez. This year I am nine years old. I am in third grade. The school method is still through study guides, so I study and do homework which I hand in at school every week. I must have internet in the cellphone, for I have to take online classes twice a week. I also use WhatsApp to communicate to the teacher whatever doubt I have. Understanding the teacher’s instructions was not always easy to me, so doing some schoolwork turned difficult, therefore. I have missed attending to the feeding program, especially for delicious food I had there. The program is about twenty minutes away from home, so I have to walk to get there. I want to tell you a little about my parents. My father´s name is Renato Daniel. He passed away a few years ago. My mother’s name is Maria Elvia. She earns a living by working as an assistant in Renap. Thanks to her work, she provides economically for us. We still attend to Iglesia de Cristo Adulam (Church of Christ Adulam). It is located ten minutes away from home by walking. My grandmother is an usher, my mother is part of the worship group, and I am learning how to dance. We were sad along the pandemic because we really missed attending to the church services. The way we spend time as a family, is by going to the park, eating and going to the church. On Christmas, we went to the church and had dinner altogether after coming back from church.

We rent a house that is made of two rooms with separate kitchen. The rooms are made of cement block, granite floor and terrace roof. It has running water and electricity services. The house is in good condition. Pandemic did affect my family’s economy, for products of daily consumption rose in price, so money was not enough for our household expenses. I thank LW for the grocery bags we received that was a great blessing and help. I want to ask you to please pray for us, for food supplies, money to pay the rent of the house, and medicine (when necessary) is our greatest need at home. For now, my family and I are all doing well. God bless you greatly! To finish, I want to tell you that my mother provided updated information about me to one member from the Evangelism team, who visited us at home. I say good bye to you now.

Kisses and hugs,

Fernanda Daniela Pineda Lopez
