My Story

Hello! It is a privilege for me to greet you through this letter. My name is Calliegh, and I hope you find it engaging. I attend a Christian Church called New Hope. My family and I usually attend our services three times weekly. I want you to know that LW is a meaningful project for us. I have learned many good things from the gospel that the staff shares with us, besides the blessings we have received from it. A member of the LW staff encouraged us to continue trusting in the Almighty while he collected this information for you. My mother, Helen Oroxon, is 34 years old; she makes a living as a nursing assistant to support our necessities. She is in good health. My maternal grandfather lives with us. He used to help us with some money, but he stopped doing it because he suffers from diabetes and neuropathy, which causes pain in his feet. Therefore, I want to ask for your prayers for him. We have many necessities at home, but the most demanding are food supplies and clothes.

I am in the first year of training in communication science. I like attending school as I used to do before the pandemic because I learn and understand lessons better than studying online. My health is in good condition. I look forward to becoming a TV presenter when I am older. However, my mother has had trouble paying for my school expenses since the training is pricey. My favorite season is Christmas because many families take advantage of this to gather. I like drinking strawberry juice, and my favorite sport is basketball. If someday I might have the opportunity to study a new language, I would like it to be English. My sixteenth birthday was in April. What I enjoy the most is eating mojarras and cake to celebrate it. Thank you so much for reading my news!

From the bottom of my heart,

Calliegh Haydee Oroxon Velasquez
