My Story

Hello! My name is Margis. I am happy for the opportunity to be registered in the sponsorship program of Adopt a Child. I am six years old, and my birthday is in August. I live in the town of Pogradec and our house is in good condition. We live in a flat and own an apartment.I am diagnosed by doctors with autism and for this reason, I frequent a special carrying center, where I spend the first part of the day. The staff of teachers are very nice to us and very professional.  My favorite color is blue, and my future dream is to become musician. When we are in our carrying center, I like to color, draw and sing, while our teachers lead us to those activities.

My family consists of three members, and they are my mother, brother and myself. My father died from an uncured illness and he died young. My mother works as teacher in public schools in a village that is nearby.  After her job, she comes to walk with me home from the carrying center and we spend the rest of the day together. All the time that I spend inside the house, I keep on playing, running around, drawing, coloring, singing and my day is full of action. When my mother needs to take time to cook, clean or do other things in our house, my older brother plays and cares for me. He goes to school and is also on the program. The weather is nice at present, and we take walks by the lake during the evenings, I like to go and play in the park of the town. We are thankful to Adopt a Child for the help in food, since our needs are many. I receive a very small amount because of being a child with different abilities and combined with the amount we receive as children being raised with one parent, we still can say that we have a lot of need unmet. I am happy that my mother works full-time and receives a monthly pay, but more is needed for our family, especially for my health care. My brother comes to the Bible classes, and he is happy to learn about the love of God through the Bible lessons. Thank you from our hearts for the physical and spiritual care and God bless you!
