My Story

I am Sindy and it is a pleasure to share a little about my life with you. I am twelve years old, and I live with my parents. We attend Life Christian Church; we usually attend our services twice a week. A teacher of the LW evangelism team spoke with me to collect this information for you. He also shared the gospel with me and let me know the Lord is my savior, which made me happy. Besides this blessing, I think the feeding program is crucial. I can receive medicines and tasty lunches. My father, Domingo Gutierrez, is 45 years old. He is a day laborer and travels to the coast twice a year during the coffee harvest period to support our family. My mother also travels with him during that time to get extra income. Her name is Marcelina Simaj, and she is 44 years old.

We are a humble family with few resources. It has been hard for my parents to buy clothes, shoes, and school supplies. To survive, we grow corn, peaches, and plumbs for our consumption. Thankfully, we are in good health. Let me tell you that I am in fifth grade. Attending school is better for me because I can learn more. One of my dreams is to have my own tortilleria business when I am older. I also would like to learn how to speak English. Christmas is the best holiday ever! What I enjoy the most is seeing the Christmas lights. I also love celebrating my birthday because my parents buy a delicious cake for me. I love drinking apple juice. There are many sports, but my favorite is cycling. To end this letter, I want you to know I was glad to tell you my last news. I hope you could find it engaging.
