My Story

It is such a blessing to greet you through this letter. How are you doing? In this opportunity, I want you to know that each donation that you make to LW-Adopt A Child allows me to receive medicine and food for free, which has been a great blessing. My full name is Victor Bartolo Mucia and I am 14 years old. I have attended the feeding program for many years and what I like the most is participating in the bible classes because they help me to memorize meaningful verses. I have heard that some people prefer cold weather over hot or vice versa, but I like both. I am in eighth grade at school this year. When I come back home, I dedicate some minutes in the afternoon to looking for firewood for the consumption of my family.

I tell you that my parents are not doing well, so I kindly ask you to pray for them. My mother has suffered from a lot of pain in her waist for many years, but she has not gone to the doctor because of a lack of money. Despite her health issues, she does not give up and works by weaving typical clothes and selling chickens that she raises to contribute to the household expenses. About my father, I tell you that he has had a hernia in his right leg for about 17 years. He needs a surgery, but he does not earn enough as a day laborer to cover that medical service. When he has a lot of pain, he usually takes a pain killer and rests. Although it is very likely that I will not be able to continue studying next year due to our financial situation, I trust the Lord will not leave us alone.

My parents are so happy and grateful for the privileges they have at church as deacons. We are members of the Pentecostal Church Prince of Peace. We feel motivated to get there because of the gospel and service we can give to our siblings in Christ because we know that our work is for God, our Heavenly father. Besides that, I can participate in the youth meetings, which I like so much. Since we accepted Jesus as our Lord and Savior, we have the assurance of getting into Heaven. I appreciate that sister Sandra (a member of the LW evangelism team) took the time to encourage my family and me to keep going in our faith.
