My Story

Hello! My full name is Gloria Elvira Mendez Pastor, and I am so happy to greet you. I am 3 years old and I want you to know that my mom and a member of the LW staff, helped me write this letter for you. Because of my young age, I do not attend school. I stay home and play with my dolls. Thankfully, I am a healthy girl. My mom has taught my siblings and me that Jesus is God. I love listening to music in which I can worship Jesus. I attend a Christian church called the Assembly of God with my family. We enjoy the Thanksgiving service held at church every year. My mom is a single parent and strives to cover our needs. She works as a day laborer in our village. She has told me that my face looks like my biological father’s. Unfortunately, he is not part of my life. He abandoned my family and me many years ago. To end this letter, let me tell you that I get along wonderfully with my aunt, Andrea. She is the same age as me. We enjoy playing with dolls when we gather. See you later!
