My Story

Hello! How are you? I am sending you this letter hoping it finds you well. My name is Sandra, and I am happy to have this opportunity to greet you and tell you about my life and family. Thankfully, we are still members of LW Church called Liberty, and we attend services twice a week. We have put our faith in God, and we are assured in our Salvation; we are also grateful to God for our lives. My father’s name is Juan, and he is 34 years old. He is in good health, and he works as a day laborer. My mother’s name is Santos, and she is 33 years old. She is in good health, and she works hard at home; she helps with the home income when she sells her domestic animals. My parents work hard to support us, but we still have basic needs like groceries. We have hens, pigs and a cow at home, and we grow corn, black beans and bananas for the family consumption.

My full name is Sandra Leticia Ruiz Ruiz, and I turned 12 in June. I am healthy, and I like doing exercises and running. I am in 6th grade, and I prefer face-to-face classes because I learn more. My parents have to spend money on shoes and school supplies, and it has not been easy for them, but they are doing their best to support me with it. I would like to have my own grocery store in the town and learn English language in the future. Children’s Day is my favorite celebration because there are many activities and games at my school. I love hugging my family when it is my birthday. I enjoy drinking lemonade. I am blessed with food and Christmas presents through the feeding program; I have Living Water in an important place in my heart.  I hope to have news from you soon.

All the best
