My Story

I greet you cordially and I wish you a blessed day alongside your family. I am Susana Garcia Ajqui. I am 15 years old and through this letter, I want to share a little about my family and me. My mother`s name is Andrea Ajqui Chic. She is 28 years old. Currently, she continues doing chores at home. In addition, she is raising hens, and sheep to sell and get some income. My father`s name is Ramiro Garcia de la Cruz and he is 35 years old. Nowadays, he earns a living by making trips in his car transporting people to other places every Sunday and Thursday. We grow corn for our family`s consumption. Our current needs are corn and groceries. Thankfully, we continue attending Prince of Peace Church every Wednesday. We are grateful to the LW evangelism team for their encouraging words during the visit to my mother, who is sure of her salvation in Jesus. By the grace of God, all my family and I are in good health.

This year I no longer continue attending school due to a lack of financial resources.  I finished 6^th grade last year. Nowadays, I am helping my mother with chores at home. My dream is to work in a grocery store. My native language is the Quiche Mayan dialect, so I would like to learn English; I think this is an interesting language. My favorite celebration of the year is Christmas because our custom is to eat tamales. Lemonade is my favorite beverage. What I like for my birthday is to eat a delicious cake with my family. We are grateful to Living Water because I receive the meals, medical and dental attention, and spiritual support. I want to say thank you for the Christmas gift that I receive at the end of the year.
