I greet you affectionately through this letter hoping you are fine. My name is Cesia Jimena, I am 17 years old and I live along with my mother and siblings. I attend 9th grade, I receive my assignments by WhatsApp and I have to send my homework every week by the same way. For me, it has been difficult to study by this way since my siblings and I have to share the smartphone to receive our homework. Sadly, I do not have my father´s support because he abandoned us years ago and we do not know anything about him. So, my mother is the one who strives to supply our expenses; she sells chicken in the market.
Let me share that covid-19 affected my family due to all the restrictions and changes in our daily routine. My mother was affected economically because the sales were bad and her income was less. Fortunately, during the harder months of the pandemic, we received support from my siblings’ school and we were moving forward little by little. We thank God because we were blessed with grocery bags from Living Water / Adopt A Child and it was really helpful for us. We trust in God and His faithfulness since we have been doing very well. We are a big family and all the groceries have helped us greatly to complete our meals. My family and I are deeply thankful to you and LW who have been thinking of children and helped during these hard times due to the pandemic. Thank God, my family and I have not been infected with covid-19 so far. Nevertheless, I want you to pray for my mother´s health because she is suffering from a bacterium in her stomach. She has already visited a doctor and is under medical treatment. For now, we watch services online from House of Faith Church. I want to let you know that a member of the AAC team called my mother Maria Mazariegos by phone to get this updated information since the feeding program is still closed due to the pandemic. I hope to hear from you soon. Many blessings!
Hugs and much love,
Cesia Jimena Mazariegos
