My full name is Julia Gonzalez Ruiz, and I lovingly greet you from the beautiful mountains in Quiche. Before introducing myself, I thank you so much for taking the time to read my letter. I am a healthy 8-year-old girl. I am in second grade and attend school in the morning. I do many things on weekends, but I enjoy playing with my toys the most. I want to open my heart and tell you that my father left my family and me about one year ago. Sadly, he has not been in touch with me and does not help us economically either. So, please pray for my family and me. My mom is doing her best to move forward with us, but it has been challenging because she does not have any job opportunity. For instance, my oldest sister does not attend school because my mom cannot support her education needs. At the moment, my mom supports our family with the income she gets from her modest grocery store. We have some chickens and pigs at home and grow corn to consume at home.
Fortunately, the Almighty has never left us alone. He has blessed us so much with food through LW-Adopt A Child. My favorite food at the feeding program is fried chicken. Last year, the LW staff and volunteers performed a beautiful choreography during the Christmas party at the feeding program. I liked it so much! My mom and sister appreciate the staff for being on the lookout for our spiritual well-being. A teacher of the evangelism team shared the gospel with my sister as an encouragement to continue trusting in the Lord. I say goodbye to you now, but I want you to know that it would be fantastic to hear from you next time.
Kisses and hugs,
Julia Gonzalez Ruiz
