I greet you affectionately through this letter hoping you are fine. I am Jhonatan Geovani. I am 14 years old and I live with my mother and siblings. Since I am a boy with special needs, I do not attend school. So, I go to help my brother in his construction job or I go to help in a bakery and learn how to make the bread. My mother also took me to pick coffee beans. Due to the covid-19 pandemic, I try to take care of my health. Unfortunately, my father abandoned us several years ago and we do not receive any support from him. My mother is the only one who struggles in order to supply our family needs. She washes clothes and makes tortillas for other people. Also, she goes to pick coffee beans during the harvest to get an extra money.
Let me share a little about how my family and I are doing at this weird time due to the covid-19. Unfortunately, this time has been really hard for my family because my mother ran out of work for some time and it affected us economically. We do not have money to cover our family needs. Then, my mother started to sell tortillas in order to get some money. Nevertheless, we have seen God´s mercy toward us because we have never lacked our food on the table. Moreover, we have received groceries from Living Water/ Adopt A Child which are so helpful to us. Let me tell you that the groceries arrived when we had nothing to eat and we felt so deeply thankful because to our Lord who is providing for us and never left us alone. We cried tears of joy in our hearts to know that God is blessing us through your support. My mother and I are so grateful to you and we pray our Lord blesses you in each area of your life. My family and I are healthy, and the covid-19 has not affected us so far, thanks to God. At the moment we are not attending church but we pray to our Lord at home and we know that He is hearing our prayers. I leave you for now. Many blessings in everything you do!
Lots of love,
Jhonatan Geovani Cruz Clemente
