My Story

I am Estefany Lizett De Leon Velasquez, and I am happy to get in touch with you through this. This year I turn seven years old. I am in kindergarten at school. I am taking face-to-face classes at school three days a week. I use study guides to work at home, so every week I hand in my homework to the teacher. The thing I missed a lot from the feeding program was, getting in touch with other girls, and the tasty food which is a blessing! For me to get there, it takes ten minutes by walking. My father abandoned my family many years ago, unfortunately. We do not have any communication with him. My mom works as a receptionist at a place where technology products are sold. Most of us go to the central part in the city on Sundays. My family and I have a nice time when we go there. We did celebrate Christmas by decoraing our house, setting a Christmas tree and making something delicious to eat.

Currently, we are members in the Catholic Church that is located fifteen minutes from home. The time the church was closed due to the pandemic, we were really desperate, for we were not able to go outside, so we pray God for this situation to change. We rent a small and humble house with one room made of cement block, tin sheet roof and granite floor. It separate kitchen and running water and electricity services. The house is in good condition. My mom is thankful to God for she did not run out of work due to the pandemic. She was able to get her family ahead thanks to it. Food supplies is a greatest need for us, that’s why, I thank to the feeding program for the grocery bags we received in that time. It was all a great help at home. I am very grateful to all the ones who provided this support for us to receive it. I ask you to please pray for us to not have lack of money to pay the rent and services of the house. Thank you for your prayers. I also pray God to bless you and your family in a great way! Currently, my family is doing well, and so am I, thank God. To finish, I want you to know, my mom gave this information in person to an Evangelism team member who visited us at home, to share with you my last news. Looking forward to hearing from you soon. Take care!

Kisses and hugs,
