My Story

Hello! I greet you in the name of Jesus, and I hope you have many successes in your daily activities. I am so happy to write you this letter and share with you about my family and me.  My name is Wilsson Yenser Quino Mejia, and I am 11 years old. My mother`s name is Manuela Mejia Tol, and she is 30 years old. Currently, she works in a tortillas business in Guatemala City in order to support the family. In addition, she raises hens and gets some income. My father`s name is Ramiro Quino Mendez, and he is 31 years old. Nowadays, my father earns a living by working in a grocery store also in Guatemala City, and he comes to visit us once a month. We grow corn for our family`s consumption. We are a humble family, so our current needs are groceries and corn. At the moment, we continue attending the Catholic Charismatic Renewal Group every Monday. Thank you to the LW evangelism team who encouraged me to continue seeking God. Thank God, all my family and I are in good health.

This year I am in 3rd grade at school. I continue receiving face-to-face classes every day, and I love this study method because I learn a lot. My parents strive to support my brother and me with school expenses even though they do not have a stable job, and also the school fees are very expensive. Sometimes it is very difficult to cover all expenses. My dream is to become a good farmer. My native language is the Quiche Mayan dialect, but I would like to learn English; I think this is a very interesting language. My favorite celebration of the year is the town fair because comes some mechanical games. I prefer to drink fruit juices.  What I like to do for my birthday is to receive some gifts from my family. About sports, I like to play soccer. We are grateful to you and to Living Water because I receive the meals, medical and dental attention, and spiritual support. I want to say thank you for the Christmas gifts that I receive at year´s end. I hope you enjoy reading my letter. Thank you for everything you do for me. May God reward you in every area of your life!

Many hugs,

Wilsson Yenser Quino Mejia
