Hello!
It is a privilege for me to greet you through this letter. My name is Jesica Maritza Tzoy Garcia and I hope you are fine. I want to tell you that I am nine years old and I am a third-grade student. Nowadays, I receive face-to-face classes and hand in homework daily. Thankfully, my school performance is good despite I did not have many days of classes last year. Let me tell you that my father makes a living as a farmer to cover the necessities of our family. My mother also works hard doing the chores, preparing our meals and taking care of my siblings and me. After our daily routines, we spend time together enjoying delicious homemade snacks. My family and I love celebrating Christmas because we usually prepare tasty food, such as tamales (it is a typical dish). Nowadays, we attend the Catholic Church and my parents have the privilege of serving there by giving talks to the couples who plan to get married. However, we could not go church and felt sad because the activities were suspended due to the virus. Fortunately, this is open again, and we usually walk for five minutes to get there. My family and I live in our own house which is made of adobe, a tin sheet roof, and a dirt floor. It has two rooms, a separate kitchen, electricity, and running water. Thankfully, our home is in good condition. As you know, Covid-19 affected our economy since my father did not have many opportunities of job. Nowadays, our situation is improving, but our current necessities are groceries. Despite that, God has always taken care of us because none of us has caught the virus, and we are healthy. Naturally, the feeding program also closed its doors to avoid spreading the virus. It was difficult for me because I missed eating the tasty lunches that cooks prepare. Nevertheless, my family and I are deeply grateful to Living Water and you for supporting us when we needed it most. The feeding program is 20 minutes by bus from my home. Finally, I want to tell you that my mother gave this information to an evangelism team member to share with you. I say goodbye to you now, but I would like to receive a letter from you someday to know about your last news, and please, take care of yourself!
With much love,
Jesica Maritza Tzoy Garcia
