My Story

Hello! My full name is Mateo Juan Carlos Luis de la Cruz and it is such a blessing to greet you through this letter. Thanks to the loving care of God, my whole family and I are in good health. I hope you are doing well, too. I am 11 years old and I am doing my best at school as a fifth-grade student. The weather here in Chuchuca village tends to be cold, but when it is hot, I can do engaging activities outside like playing soccer. I have attended the feeding program for about six years. What I like the most about receiving Bible lessons is praying. My parents know that LW-Adopt A Child would not be able to work without the financial support of generous people like you, so they thank you so much.

I do not have my father with me because he traveled to the United States about six years. He makes a living by butchering chickens and sends us money every month. My mother is a busy housewife and she helped me to compose this letter for you. She also dedicates part of her time to raising chickens and goats to sell and contribute to the expenses. I attend the Catholic Church together with my family and participating in the holy mass motivates us to persevere. My mother has assurance of her salvation because she accepted Jesus in her heart. This is all for now, but I kindly ask you to pray for my father so that God takes care of him. In advance, thank you so much!
