My Story

My name is Adriana Marisol, and I am glad to say hello to you through this letter. I hope your loved ones and you are doing well. Let me tell you that my family and I still attend Prince of Peace Church. We usually do it on Thursdays and Saturdays. My father is Adan Arturo Ruiz Garcia, and he is 38 years old. He is a healthy man who works by farming the land for other people. He also grows corn for our consumption. My mom is Irma Yolanda Morente, and she is 32 years old. She is a healthy woman who sells hens and ducks to help my father with the expenses.

Now, let me tell you a little bit more about me. I am a healthy 13-year-old girl. This year, I was in sixth grade. I was glad to receive face-to-face classes because I understood the lessons much better. We are a needy family, but fortunately, my parents did not have trouble covering my school supplies. Some of our greatest needs are groceries. There are many things that I would love to do when I am older. Some of them are to become a nurse and speak the Kiche dialect, which is pretty important in my community. Therefore, I would love to count on your prayers for me. My favorite holiday is Christmas because my family and I usually visit engaging places. I like drinking Coca-Cola, and my favorite sport is soccer. I love celebrating my birthday with my family because they prepare a special lunch for me. To end this letter, I want you to know that LW has blessed me with delicious food for free. I say goodbye to you for now, but I pray the Almighty rewards you and all those who have supported this project in different ways!

Sincerely yours,

Adriana Marisol Riz Morente
