My Story

I greet you from the bottom of my heart, and I hope that you are in good health and receiving the Lord`s blessings with your loved ones. I want to share some news about my family and me through this letter. I am Miguel Isaias Castro Castro and I am 11 years old. I want to let you know that we continue attending the Methodist Church every Monday. We thank the LW evangelism team who shared the Gospel with us and for their encouraging words. As you know, I am not studying, but I am helping with chores at home. My dream is to become a mason. My native language is the Quiche Mayan dialect, so I would like to learn Spanish and improve my communication with others. My favorite celebration of the year is “Easter” because I like to see the different activities during the celebration. I like to drink “mosh” (a hot beverage made with oatmeal). Among sports, I like to play soccer. I want to let you know that thank God, my family and I are in good health.

My mother`s name is Silvestra Castro Riz. She is 34 years old. At the moment, she is a housewife, and she is raising hens and pigs to sell and get some income. In addition, she embroiders napkins also for selling. My father`s name is Miguel Castro Xon. He is 36 years old. Nowadays, he earns a living by working as a day laborer and mason helper in order to cover our expenses. As a humble family, our current needs are groceries and corn. We grow corn for family consumption.  We are grateful to Living Water because we have been blessed with meals, medical and dental, and spiritual support. I want to say thank you for the Christmas gift that I receive at the end of the year. May God bless you greatly!

Lots of love,

Miguel Isaias Castro Castro
