My Story

Hello, what a blessing to greet you! This is Santos Alesandro, and I hope this letter finds you doing well. Let me tell you that I am still a member of the Prince of Peace and Lamb of God Church. My family and I usually attend services on Sundays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. My father, Genaro de la Cruz, makes a living as a farmer. My mother, Anastacia Obispo, sells homemade snacks to get extra income. I love my parents because they do their best to support our family. We raise some hens and grow corn for our consumption. Thankfully my whole family and I are doing well. I am a first-grade student this year, and classes are face-to-face. I like this method because I am learning so much. Even though my school expenses are not many, it has been difficult for my parents to cover them since everything is expensive and my older brother, Lester, is studying too.

Our priorities are clothes and food supplies. I do not know what I want do for making a living because I am younger. What I love doing the most is playing with my cars and have fun. My favorite beverage is papaya juice and I enjoy Holy Week as much as I can. My family and I take advantage of it to visit touristic places. I am a Spanish speaker and I would like to learn how to speak the Quiche dialect someday. I will turn eight years old in November. To celebrate my birthday, my parents buy a piñata (a traditional birthday puppet) for me and I love it. This is all for now, but I was glad to share a little about my life with you. May God continue taking care of you!

Lots of love,

Santos Alesandro De la Cruz Obispo
