My Story

Hello! My name is Alvi. I am 3 years old and my birthday is on November. I am doing well and in good health. My favorite color is brown and my future dream is to become doctor. I started this year on September the kindergarten where I go to spend a few hours every morning, so that I can get used to it. I have lots of friends there and we play with toys and do drawings and learn songs with moves. I spend many hours inside my house and enjoy watching cartoons, drawing and coloring and playing with toys. I like to meet and play with my friends outside, but not for too longs, since it is getting colder at present. I live in a village near the town of Prrenjas and we visit this small town very often. My family contains six members. Our house offers good living conditions to us. I have a brother and a sister, they are 10 and 11 years old. They both care for me during the day, when my mother gets busy cleaning the house, cooking or working in our garden. My father used to work in the town in a fish company for a few years, but he quit this job. He recently emigrated to work in Greece for six months. My father is receiving a better income being hired from the people of this country and working in farming. We are happy that he has this opportunity, even though, we miss him when he is working in Greece. My parents have chosen not to deal with farming in the village, since my father is in emigration and my mother needs to stay in the house to care for my siblings and me. My mother has planted only vegetables in our garden and during autumn she collected the last ones. My mother has done some canning with what is left from the vegetables, so that we can eat them during the winter. Since it is only my father working, the income in our family is low and we have many needs. My family is thankful to the program for the spiritual and physical care that is offered to us from the church and Adopt a Child program. My siblings and I receive food packages constantly and we are happy to learn about the Lord through the Bible lessons. Thank you for your support and care. God bless you!
