My Story

Special regards from Jocotenango town! I am so happy to share with you how my family and I have been doing throughout this 2026. My full name is Mildred Estefany Valeria Garcia Bala, and I am doing well. Fortunately, my family is also keeping well. I am 11 years old and I attend 4^th grade at school. I like cold weather because I enjoy wearing nice sweaters. I have attended the feeding program for almost two years. My parents enrolled me there because they wanted me to enjoy having delicious food and taking part in the bible classes just like they did when they were children. I also have the blessing to receive medical and dental care.

At home, I usually do the dishes and make my bed to help my mother. She works as teacher for an elementary school and my father works in a car parts store called La Recoleccion in Antigua Guatemala. He is in charge of the delivery staff. I tell you that my brother and I enjoy attending the Sunday School of our church. We are members of Jesus the Good Shepherd Church. My parents do not attend church, so I kindly ask you to pray for them. I am grateful to brother Emanuel (a member of the LW evangelism team) because he shared the gospel and talked about Heaven with my mother. She appreciated that interesting conversation and encourages LW-Adopt A Child to continue blessing children with food and spiritual guidance. Until next time!
