I feel blessed to write this letter to someone special like you. From the bottom of my heart, I hope this updated information finds you doing well. My full name is Elington Ovidio Cu Can and I am 12 years old. By the grace of the Lord, I am in good health. I want you to know that I attended school as a fifth grader this year. Currently, I am out of school for vacation. I help my mom to take care of my young brother while she works. I want to open my heart and tell you that my father abandoned my family and me about one year ago. Today, my mom is the only one who supports our family economically. She makes a living by cleaning a homemade food restaurant and has only one day off. She works hard, but her income is barely enough to afford food and the payment of rent for our house.
This year, she had trouble buying my school supplies. She did her best to buy new shoes and clothes for my brother and me, but she could not do it due to a lack of money. Therefore, I beg you to pray for provision for my family. I also ask you to pray for my father so the Lord touches his heart and keeps him well. I would like to see him once again. As for our spiritual life, let me tell you that we have attended a Christian Church for a few months. A member of the LW staff congratulated us recently. He also encouraged us to continue seeking the Lord. I am glad to be part of Living Water because my family and I have received many blessings like food and spiritual support. Last year, I received a Christmas gift at the feeding program which made me so happy. Please take care of yourself. I would like to hear from you soon.
Many huge hugs,
Elington Ovidio Cu Can
