I feel so privileged to share my updated information with you through this letter. My name is Miriam Elizabeth Soto Xar, and I am 17 years old. I am glad because I attend school as a ninth grader on the morning shift. My favorite food is fried chicken and mashed potato. Let me tell you that I have a clogged artery. However, I am under treatment and thanks that, I am doing well. I love my family so much, so I enjoy spending time with them and attending church on weekends. I am a member of a Christian Church called People of God. I want you to know that I live with my siblings, Sheyla and Gustavo Velasquez. Fortunately, they are in good health. My brother works as a warehouseman; he covers most of my expenses and needs. My sister got married, and now, she is a housewife. Her husband helps me a little economically.
As you know, my father passed away a few years ago. My mom has a new couple and lives with him in another house. She is a housewife and occasionally helps me with clothes or shoes. Unfortunately, she was diagnosed with a tumor in her womb recently. Therefore, doctors had to do a cautery to avoid the expansion of the disease. They told us that my mom must undergo surgery as soon as possible, but she does not have an appointment yet. So, I beg you to pray so much for her. My family and I praise the Lord because despite difficult times, we can feel His love and support through Living Water. This project has blessed me with food and medical and dental care. It is enjoyable to celebrate Christmas at the feeding program. I would like to be a collaborator at LW to know how it feels to help others. It would be an engaging experience. To end this letter, I want to tell you that a member of the LW staff encouraged my family and me to continue trusting in God. I will leave you now, but please pray for provision so I can continue studying. In advance, thank you so much.
Kisses and hugs,
Miriam Elizabeth Soto Xar
