My Story

Hello, good morning! It is such a blessing to share my updated information with you through this letter. I am Abner Geovanny Marroquin Pena and I am a healthy 12-year-old boy. I am in sixth grade and I like the warm weather. When I stay home, I usually make my bed and help my mother with other chores like sweeping. She works hard as a pediatric nurse to support our family. Apparently, she suffers from fluid retention in her legs. She is not under treatment at the moment since she still is waiting to do some medical exams. My father does not live with us because he separated from my mother. He is not helping us financially, but it might change since we are following a legal process to receive child support.

At the moment, my family and I do not attend any church. Therefore, sister Raquel (a member of the LW staff) recently shared the gospel with my mother and me as an encouragement to look for God. She also invited us to attend Liberty Church, which we appreciated a lot. Please pray for us so that we can persevere. Taking advantage of this opportunity, I want you to know that LW-Adopt a Child has blessed many children like me with food as well as medical and dental care. My mother told me that she felt motivated to enroll me there because she had the opportunity to go there when she was a child. What she liked the most were the Christmas activities, games, and attending the Bible lessons. Thank you so much for supporting this organization!
