Hello! I am Marlon and it is a great pleasure for me to write you this letter. I want to tell you that I live with my parents and siblings. My house is made of concrete blocks and tin sheets, and it has four rooms. We live comfortably there. Thank God, my father works on a farm called Medina that is located next to one of the main highways of our country called Ruta 14. My mother works as a house cleaner in our town. I am grateful to God because my whole family and I are in good health. I am studying and I am in second grade this year. I like my school because it is big, beautiful and clean. My favorite subject is mathematics because I like to add and subtract. I am not working because I am still too young for it and I am dedicating all my time to study. When I am older, I think that I will look for a job in order to help my family financially. One of my favorite days was when we went to visit my grandfather. We ate coconuts and mangoes and had sodas and fried chicken with salad for lunch. It was a beautiful experience for my family.
For Christmas, I wore new clothes, lit fireworks and had soda, chocolate, “tamales and ponche” (typical dish and hot fruit punch) for the dinner. It was a beautiful night for our family. One of my dreams is to become a soldier to protect my community. I like playing soccer and hide-and-seek with my friends, and I enjoy watching TV, listening to music, coloring and running. We attend a Foursquare Church and my brother is one of the deacons. I like my church because we receive God’s Word and pray. My father has problems with alcohol, so please pray for him so that he can quit this vice. I would like to ask you to pray for all of us too so that we are always united. It was a great pleasure for me to write you this letter, and I hope to hear from you soon. I thank you for reading my letter. One of the LW evangelism teacher helped me to write you this letter because I cannot write very well yet. I say goodbye to you for now.
With much love
