Hello dearest sponsor! It is a pleasure to greet you hoping that you are doing well. My name is Dilan Josue Andres Ramon, and I am nine years old. I have one sibling. My mother and father live with me. My mother helps us economically by going out to harvest coffee during the right season. My father works as a farmer on a coffee plantation and supports us economically. To spend time with family we watch TV and talk together. We do not celebrate Christmas because of the doctrine of our church. I live in a humble home in Duenas. My house is located about a 15-minute walk from the feeding program. The house we live in is rented. We share this house with my grandparents. There is one room, and we cook in that same room. The house is made of tin sheet, the roof is made of tin sheet, and the floor is made of dirt. We have running water and electricity in our home. The house is in okay condition because the tin sheets are old. Thank God my family and I are healthy. The pandemic affected our economy because my father lost his job for a period but thank God we are better now. I am in fourth grade this year. My mother goes to my school every 15 days to pick up my study guides, and while she is there, she drops off the completed ones. I have struggled to learn throughout the pandemic because I do not understand math, especially addition. I have access to the internet by using data from a cellphone. I attend a Pentecostal church; my parents have the privilege of collecting the offering and singing songs. We missed attending church when it closed due to the pandemic. What I miss most from the feeding center is the food they served and spending time with my friends. Our greatest need is groceries. I say goodbye to you for now hoping God takes care of you and pours out many blessings upon you! The evangelism team is speaking to families in Duenas by appointment. They spoke to me to receive this information.
With lots of love,
Dilan Josue Andres Ramon
